HELPING SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS GET A FOOT IN THE DOOR
Work Skills Vocational Education and Training in Schools (VETiS) program is the delivery of nationally recognised qualifications to secondary school students, providing them with the skills and knowledge required for specific industries. VETiS can be undertaken in years 10, 11, and 12 and can count towards the QCE - Queensland Certificate of Education - Recognised Course of Study. Training is delivered by qualified Work Skills trainers and assessors at the school's premises, providing students with practical, industry-relevant learning in a familiar and supervised environment.
VETiS qualifications are funded entirely by the Department of Trade, Employment and Training (DTET) under the VET Investment Budget. This means that students enrolled in a VETiS funded qualification will not incur any costs for their studies.

The student’s practical learning is delivered through a blend of face-to-face training in the classroom or workshop. Every student has online login access to their learning and assessment work, which they can access at any time, anywhere, from any web-enabled device.
